‘Please note that VAT is applicable on our immigration services charges and where applicable, VAT is included at 20%.

‘Charging VAT in relation to immigration matters can be complex as it may depend on where you live and what type of immigration permission you have. Please note, we will confirm with you whether the VAT (at the rate of 20%) is payable once we have been instructed and can work out if VAT is properly chargeable’’

‘We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application. We will normally be able to submit this type of application within 4 weeks of you instructing us but we will let you know at the earliest opportunity if it is likely to take longer than this. A straightforward application’s processing time can typically take between 4-12 weeks from the date of submission. The Home Office aims to process 90% of straightforward applications within 8 weeks, but this is not a guarantee. Also, additional evidence may be requested, which could delay the processing time.

Please note that the anticipated number of hours and fees are on a case-to-case basis. All applications vary and of course, we can give you a more accurate estimate once we have more information about your specific case.’

  1. Initial consultation: This is the first stage of an immigration case, during which you will provide information on your situation and we assess your case.
  2. Application preparation: Here, we gather and prepare all necessary documents for the immigration application, which can include forms, documents and evidence.
  3. Application submission: This stage involves submitting the application to the relevant immigration authority bodies, e.g., Home Office or UK Visa and Immigration.
  4. Application Processing: This involves waiting for the application to be processed by the relevant authority which can take varying amount of time depending on the complexity of the case and the processing times of the authority.
  5. Decision: This is the final stage of an immigration case, during which the relevant authority makes a decision on the application.

It is usually difficult to estimate and may be a significant proportion of your overall costs’

  1. Application fees: The amount payable depends on the type of visa you are applying for and whether you are applying from within or outside the UK.
  2. Biometric enrolment fees: If you applying from within the UK, you may need to attend a biometric appointment to have your fingerprints and photograph taken.
  3. Premium service centre fees: If you choose to use the premium service centre to have your application processed quickly. Please note that this is not applicable for all visa application.
  4. Immigration Health Surcharge: This is a fee that must be paid by most non-EEA nationals who are applying to work, study or join family in the UK for more than 6 months.
  5. Priority Visa Service fees: This is a fee for when you choose to have your visa application processed quickly than the standard processing times.
  6. Appeal fees: If your visa application is refused and you wish to appeal the decision, there is a First-tier Tribunal or Upper Tribunal fee to lodge your appeal.

Please note, you do not always have to use an interpreter of the firm’s choosing, however an interpreter fees per hour is estimated starts at £50 (excluding VAT, charged at 20%).
